Lazy Saturday

Its a rainy Saturday morning here, which gives me a perfect excuse to relax on the couch, catch up on some podcasts and, of course, enjoy some knitting time.

I have been working on another design, this time a cardigan knit from Worsted MCN.  I thought I would post a little sneak peak of the swatch, as you can see I have chosen yet another variegated colourway, its a sock club colour called 'Sweet Violet'.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Wave

Over the weekend I released my first design, a small shawl called Wave.

'Wave' is knit from the bottom up and is shaped into a wide triangle which, when thrown over the shoulders, will sit perfectly in place. The shawl is also long enough to be scrunched up and used as a light-weight scarf.

The alternating 'waves' of Turkish Lace and Garter Stitch look really nice when knit with variegated yarns (I have a real soft spot for these types of colourways!) but of course semi-solids would look wonderful too!  The other great thing about these stitch patterns is that they both form a knitted fabric that is totally reversible.

Wave is a one skein project which requires a yardage of around 366 - 402 meters / 400 - 440 yards.  My samples were knit using a skein of Skein Silk/Cashmere Lace and BFL Sock, both of which are variegated colours.

Wave is available as a free pattern, you can download the PDF here.

Hope you enjoy!
